Vice President Yang Runhui in a Group Photo with the Hong Kong Teacher and Student Representatives visiting Shenzhen Polytechnic
Sponsored by the Hong Kong Education Convergence and co-organized by the Hong Kong Baptist University Principal Association, the 14-person Hong Kong Middle School Teacher-student Delegation visited Shenzhen Polytechnic on April 18. Vice President Yang Runhui and the Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs met the delegation in Conference Room 109.
Vice President Yang Runhui gave a warm welcome to the visit of members from the Hong Kong Education Convergence and the Hong Kong Baptist University Principal Association and principals, directors and students from Hong Kong middle schools. He further gave a brief overview of our development journey and main achievements with a focus on our exchange and cooperation with Hong Kong, and expressed his determination to fully support various exchange programs initiated by the Hong Kong Education Convergence, the Hong Kong Baptist University Principal Association and Shenzhen Polytechnic. The person in charge of the Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs elaborated the two approaches Shenzhen Polytechnic has for enrolling Hong Kong students: firstly, open admission for students scoring Level 2 in five disciplines in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination; secondly, admission by taking the independent admission examination of Shenzhen Polytechnic.
This was the second exchange following the visit of a delegation headed by the President of the Hong Kong Education Convergence in 2013.
