In order to expand and deepen the exchanges and cooperation between our school and European universities as well as well-known vocational education groups, from January 4 to January 13, 2014, a delegation of four members (including Liang Kuai, Wen Shouwen and Cai Min) from Shenzhen Polytechnic, which was led by Vice President Yang Runhui, visited four universities and education institutions including the Saxony headquarters of F+U Education Group, Zwickau University of Applied Sciences, Schouten Global and Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences and inspected the University of Amsterdam and Helsinki University of Applied Sciences. Through this visit, we successfully completed the aims of vocational education research, discussions concerning training innovation and cultural exchange centers, the implementation of students exchange projects, signing cooperation agreements, visiting our exchange students at F+U Education Group and holding an informal discussion, inviting relevant institutions and organizations to participate in the Shenzhen Polytechnic session of this year’s Shenzhen International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF). Among the visit’s fruitful outcomes, we have built a new senior exchange channel with Zwickau University of Applied Sciences, a well-known university of applied sciences in Germany, reaching a preliminary cooperation intention.
The delegation has learnt a lot from its visit to Germany, the Netherlands and Finland, and the main aspects are as follows: First, deepen and expand cooperation with universities and educational institutions through direct exchanges between relevant leaders of colleges and universities, teachers, and students, develop more substantive and consensual cooperation. Second, maximize the influence of our Polytechnic’s "CIC Talents Cultivation" system reform ideas on partners and gain high recognition from partners. Third, extensively promote Shenzhen Polytechnic’s role in the upcoming ICIF. As directed by President Liu Hongqi, Vice President Yang Runhui invited Germany’s F+U Education Group, Zwickau University of Applied Sciences, Schouten Global and Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences along with the deputy mayor of Seinajoki to attend the session, all of whom were very pleased to accept the invitation. Fourth, broaden horizons, learn advanced experience in education and personnel training in Germany, the Netherlands and Finland. Fifth, establish a new high-level cooperation channel of applied technology learning institutions.
