Shenzhen Polytechnic City of Design Creative R&D Center “Urban Architectural Visualization” Design Studio Exhibition was opened on the ground floor of No.2 Practical Training Building, Liuxiandong Campus on the morning of March 17, 2014. The opening ceremony was attended by Vice President Yang Runhui, Dean of the School of Art and Design Zhou Liqun and other department leaders as well as all Chinese and Russian members of the studio. Making an enthusiastic speech on behalf of Shenzhen Polytechnic at the opening ceremony, President Yang Runhui spoke highly of the exhibited works.
The members of this studio were composed of 18 teachers and students from Saint Petersburg State Polytechnical University and some 20 teachers and students from our School of Art and Design. After meticulous research around Shenzhen, they used the five keywords of vegetation, height, young, colorful and climate and the forms of photography, illustration, video and installations to present the most intuitive and truest impression and feeling about the city. Breaking away from the usual cooperation model of design studios, the Chinese and Russian students have practiced their skills and made some friends in this competitive yet harmonious atmosphere.
Finally, Professor Chernihov from Saint Petersburg State Polytechnical University made a high-level academic report for the Chinese and Russian students, which was a key event of this exchange.
